Another story during my worst flu ever, please don’t get bored, I rarely getting really sick more than a week, and usually I am the last one who got the virus when we attack by virus ping pong, yea that is what I called it, because it seem once one of family member got virus, then we got virus marathon and I will be the last standing, thanks to my eating healthy habit. But, it was really big but here, I have been eating a lot of crap during the peak of winter season in Madrid (my first experience on minus Celsius degree), I seek a lot of comfort in food, a lot thing that oily, fatty, less vegetable and fruit, and then BAM-BAM I was hitting hard by the virus. Not being able to do anything beside just laying on a bed, with 2 super active kids was like super sad, I only can do some activity after taking some Paracetamol, such a shame to me, even I know it is saved but usually chemical medicine was very last option to me, I hate to consume it, I don’t know why.


And then in the middle of night, the pain was so excruciating, and all sudden my body move me to kitchen to make warm water and juicing some lemon, luckily I always have some lemon in a kitchen. Whoa it feel such a relief for me, the warm honey lemon run through my body, offering some healthy warm comfort. And I becoming best friend to this drink for more than a week now, I feel so much better and feel energised. I am not talking about non sense here, I think all the procrastination that dragging me for a month was because I am not taking care myself like I used to, My energy was like draining, I can’t concentrate of doing thing and run out of idea, which make everything even more worst. So from now on, first thing first is I have to taking care myself first, I think this also could applied to anyone.


Here my recipe for my Lemon Honey Shot, it is so easy yet giving you so much advantage, but one thing that need to remember is, try to drink it after wake up in the morning with an empty stomach, it is make me alert all morning, I set aside my tea drinking habit for a while now, I drinking too much, and there is nothing good of too much in everything, Even though I love tea so so much.

Serve 2 cup 250ml each


  • 500 ml warm water
  • 2 medium size lemon
  • 11/2 tbs honey for each cup (if you have raw honey, it would be more beautiful)


  1. Boiled the water, taking out from the heat after boiling and let it warm
  2. Squeeze the lemon into the water (don’t forget to wash it first)
  3. Put the honey into the cup and pour the lemon water into it, stir it well
  4. Serve it warm
