TUSCAN TEMPE MEATBALL

Tuscan tempe “meatball” in tomatoes sauce, there you go, your abundant source daily intake of prebiotic protein, veggies fiber and load of omega 3 in plant based sources ❤️❤️. This succulent plant based tempe meatball going to be your favourite.

Italian cuisine are always being favourite dishes in my table, while my kids are loving more simple flavour like aglio olio pasta but specifically this pasta also one of their favourite. Arabbiata sauce also specifically simple  sauce that they love, specifically my daughter with hint of spiciness, in short, any Italian cuisine would drive them frenzy, by taking back and fort trip to the kitchen. 

Here are the recipe, come come with me to the kitchen, Andiamo ..

Ingredients :

“Meatballs” ( mix below ingredients together)

200 gram tempe, mashed it

1 tbs chia seed, dissolved in 5tbs of water until thickened ( this is act as your egg replacement)

3 tbs quick oatmeal 

2 cloves of garlic, mince it

1/2 medium size onion, chopped it fine

1 tsp Italian herb seasoning 

1 tsp sea-salt 

1 tsp nutritional yeast

Olive oil to fried the “meatballs”

The sauce:

1/2 medium size onion, chopped 

2 clove of garlic, chopped 

1 cup thick tomatoes sauce 

1 tsp Italian herb seasoning 

1 carrot, chopped finely 

1 celery stalk, chopped finely 

1/4 cup water/vegetable stock 

Sea salt and pepper to seasoned 

Extra virgin olive oil to sautéed 

Chopped parsley to serve 

How to:

– For the “meatball” mixed all the ingredients together, and shape into small ball.

– In hot pan and hot oil, sautéed the meatball until golden, set aside.

– The sauce, in hot pan and hot oil, sautéed the onion, carrots, celery until soft and fragrance, after fragrance put inside the onion, sautéed just awhile and keep an eye on it, to avoid burn.

– When everything fragrance and set put inside the tomatoes sauce and water, seasoned with sea salt, pepper and Italian herb. Continue to cooked until the sauce really thickened.

– After the sauce thickened put inside the “meatballs” just stirred through until the sauce coated the meatballs perfectly.

– Take out from the heat and ready to serve with any pasta you’d prefer, serve it with sprinkle of parsley.

– Enjoy.
