
This are continuation from previous post that I promise you, stir fried tempeh in sweet soy sauce. All time favourite in our family, if I could get tempeh every day here in Spain, this undoubtedly going to be my standard staple in our household but nevertheless this dishes are consider as luxury when I serve it.
Combine with fried glass noodle and coconut rice milk, are splendid pairing, this combination are usually we Indonesian enjoy as breakfast, yep you heard it right breakfast. Indonesian are accustomed with heavy breakfast, me too, that is why for me breakfast are my highlight meal for the day. Should be satisfying and full-filling so I wont sporadically eating random things through out the day.
As for you, this could be an idea for dinner, you could have it with simple sunny side egg and fluffy steam rice. Yummm

OREK TEMPE / STIR FRIED TEMPE
INGREDIENTS
- 250 gram tempeh, slice thick julienne, then fried it until golden brown
- 5 clove of garlic, slice it
- 3 medium size of french shallot, slice it
- 2 red chilli, deseed if you want it taste mild
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 lime leaf
- 2 tbs sweet soy sauce (or as replacement, 2 tbs soy sauce and 1 tbs brown sugar)
- sea salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbs olive oil to sautéed
HOW TO
- In medium pan and medium heat put inside the olive oil, garlic, shallot, chilli, bayleaf, lime leaf, sautéed until fragrance.
- When the aromatic are fragrance, put inside the tempeh, seasoned with sea salt, pepper and sweet soy sauce. (usually for this size of recipe I only put 1/2 tsp of sea salt, and add it more if necessary, because the soy sauce already flavourful enough). Stirred it thoroughly
- Give it a taste and corrected accordingly. Take out from the heat
- Ready to serve
